i wish to change my lighting, rio 240 with the arcadia original plantgrowth tubes im unsure of what to get ? can some one put me right i hear alot about Metal hillides t8's t5,s im not sure which one is the better or am i ok with what ive got? I have pressureised c02 and add floraboost and have a neat little aqua jungle but it still has dark spots and some plants are bushy at the top and not at the bottom .I would really apriciate some one recomending a lighting unit so i know what to go for and not be over welmed by the masses of lighting options and possible bad advice from pet stores.

i have a 24 inch deep tank and i am still in the process of stocking
but i was advised to go for t5s as i did not want metal halides, as i have a custom made tank and cabinet with hood
