Which of these lighting systems would be better for a 150g live rock and some unneedy corals tank:

Or any other comments or suggestions on what brands you guess like and use or where to get them

You dont really need copius amount of light if its FOWLR. What corals are they? How long, and how deep is your tank?

Both of those would be good if you eventualy wanted to go reef. IMO, both are good. Heating would be an issue in those MH pendants, so thats something to keepin mind. The MH unit might be too small, with only two 150W fixtures, but you wont need anymore than that if you dont plan to go reef.

the tank will be 72 inches long and i think 18 inches high maybe 24. i plan to keep zoos, maybe anchor or frogspawn and other non light needy corals.

Either should be adequate for your needs then!
