Lighting?

Just been into my lfs and was amazed at the different types and colours of tank lights you can get

Can anyone shed any info on the different kinds??

They had lights such as Day-Glo, Sun-Glo, Aqua-Glo

So i take it the lighting is just to benefit the plants and has nothing to do with the fish?

In short...yes.

but you can use coloured lights in cobernation to bring out the colours in your fish.
