Reefkeepers,

How many watts per gallon do you run on your reef tanks?

I try to get 4 or so. Wanting another tank and I wonder if I could get away with less?

If you are only looking to keep softies the 4 w per g is definatly enought, if you are looking to add Nems, Clams of Stoney corals then I would look at adding Metal haldie Lighting IMO

Remember...watts per gallon is crude...like fish per gallon...lumens, phosphors, reflector are important. HOWEVER, in answer to your question, 3 WPG. SH
