Lighting Setup Question

I'm in the process of gathering parts for my tank (3ftx1ftx1.5ft) and am considering going for a hagen glo twin 39w t5 starter with 2x arcadia plant pro tubes, my only concern would be that there is only 35 inches of room in the lid (due to a small lip) and the tubes are 34 inches, would the end caps on the controller take it beyond 35 inches? If so any alternative ideas are more than welcome ! Starter is item no. 310057724337 on ebay.

It may take them up to 35", or possibly a bit past.

Cheers, guess I'm just gonna have to go down to the lfs with a tape measure or failing that try and cut a couple of slots into the lip on the lid. Are the arcadia tubes any good, or would you recommend running one with another type?

The arcadia i have heard are great for plants, never tried them though but htye have had good reviews.
