I just aquired a Coralife 36 inch, 95 watt, compact flourescent strip for my planted aquarium, it is the freshwater one, so it is 6700k, and of course looks yellow. I still have my old 36 inch strip which has a dead bulb. I plan on putting it behind the new light, and am wondering what bulb I should get that will whiten up the light. Should I get a 10,000k, a 50/50, or a straight Blue .03 Actinic. The 10,000k should give more white light, the 50/50 would give a little more white, and some blue too, and the straight blue will give it that purple/blue color of light. But what on would you reccomend to bring the yellow out of the CF's light?
