looking to get new aquarium lighting, looking at 4 t5 bulbls to total 260 watts for a 94 gallon aquarium. would this be considered light medium or heavy lighting for my aquarium i currently have freesh water plants and fish but may change to salt water in the future you think it is enough to keep by present planted fresh water plants and in the future salt water coral ?

Not a lot of point asking about marine lighting in a planted forum. 2 totally different setups.

260W of T5 over a 94USG is far too much for most planted aquariums. A very experienced scaper with a top setup would 'just' be able to manage that. High light on your tank would be 200W of T8, 150W of T5!!!! (IMO)

Marine maybe is right, no idea.

Have you read the pinned articles at the top of the main page on lighting?
