I was wondering if someone could tell me which of these lights is better for keeping corals. I can get them for somewhat similar prices. MH is not an option for me but I would like to be able to keep all coral types- sps, lps ect...
My tank is standard 55 us gal. 48x13x20'' (120x33x50 cm)
Thanks for any advice

TBH, its a tossup. PC lights ARE T5s just that each PC bulb is a double T5 looped at the end. The wattage per length and PAR outputs are nearly identical between the two technologies. Having 4 T5 bulbs gives you a little more flexibility with lighting but not really all that much. Also the bulb replacement cost is nearly identical as thats pretty much a function of the technology. I'd go with whichever you can get cheaper and fit easiest on your tank :). You'll be able to keep SOME sps, but any colonies you do have will HAVE to be at the top of the tank with even the best flourescents. Things like encrusting montipora, goniopora, acropora millepora are really tough to keep and need as much light as possible. Dont even try these at less than 12" of water IMO.
