Lighting Fitting For A 10 Gallon Correct?

As long as it's the right size (i.e., that a 20"X10" fits), you're good. There's no need to match brands. And I'm pretty sure the 3" means tallest height of the hood.
 
Just saw that the 2-25W bulbs are incandescent bulbs though, so they would give off lots of heat. Better for a terrarium than an aquarium, I think. I personally have had only compact flourescents for my aquariums. The T8 18" bulb is 15W which would give your tank 1.5wpg; that's plently for me, but then again I have only a few plants and not a fully planted tank.

Sorry, not a lighting expert. You may be able to find a previous post about different lighting though.
