Lighting And Polyps

can you keep polyps in a 120 gallon tank with a 260 watt lights if you keep them closer to the surface so they get better lighting. I was thinking you could just wanted to double check. dave

I would say yes, Polyps are an easy corall to keep and they dont need tht much light to thrive.

I'd say that up near the top they would probably be alright, but in low light situations your filtering come into play, polyps tend to pull phytoplankton out of the water so if you are skimming there won't be any phyto in the water for them to utilise as a secondary food source.
