JUST STARTED KEEPING MY NEW FAMILY OF FISHES. :D

SO, COULD ANYONE ADVICES ME ON THE IMPORTANT OF LIGHT?

CURRENTLY RUNNING ABOUT 13.5 HRS PER DAY, IS THAT OK.

(HAVE NO PLANTS IN AT THE MOMENT JUST MY FISHES.)

Fish only systems are not so relient on light. The only problem you may encounter with low light levels is a bloom of brown algae. 8 hours of light a day should be enough in a fish nly system. if you decide to introduce plants you want to make sure that you have enough light to sustain their photosynthesis process and around 12 hours a day of light. Too mich light with no plants may lead to exess green algae which is not bad for your tank but can be a little unsightly.

I can only keep my lights on for 6 hrs a day and even then, it's a constant battle with the algae. :/
