Just got my new 20 gallon tank and was wondering should I leave my tank light on all day? It's in the basement so it can get dark at times.

You will need to leave the light on the right amount of time for the fish and plants in the tank. During a fishless cycle, no lights are needed. Since you have no natural source of light in the room, you should probably run the lights on a timer if you end up with any plant material.

Ok thanks for response! My cycle is already done, and I didn't use that during it.
