light won't light?

Hey,
In my 5 gallon it has a light that I think is flourescent, and whenever I turn it on in the mornings, it has alot of trouble lighting. Should I get it replaced???

You mean it flickers a lot before finally settling down? If so and the tube is old - then yes - get a new tube. If the tube is recent, then it is possibly the starter in the ballast unit that needs replacing.

mine used to flicker when I turned it on, I went and bought a new starter unit (for about £1.50) and it solved the problem...!

like lateral said, it is probably the bulb that is old. although it could be the starter.

where did you get the starter kit from, are you a fishy breeder geeza? I think that would help. The light came with the kit, it's an eclipse 5 gallon. (seriously, I'm not a begginer, I just thought it was too good a deal to pass up)
