Light Fixture Feet

Say I have a 30" tank. I want to get a light fixture and add the little feet. I was wondering if I would have to get the 24" inch version so the feet will extend to the edges of tank?

Does everyone get my question? I mean if I get a 30" fixture, then wont the feet be too wide, or what? Thanks

P.S. Can I just sit the fixture Like This One right on the all-glass cover?

A 30" fitting should fit onto a 30" tank !! The supports kind of curve under the fitting from what Ive seen - ask at the shop... You should never have to stand it on the cover glass.
