Light Bulbs

Ok so I just bought a hood for my 10 gallon and I didn't spend much. However, I am not happy with the results at all. The lighting makes my water look cloudy and my decorations look dull. Right now I have 2 15 watt incandescents. Will I benefit by switching to florescent? I was thinking of just getting small florescent bulbs that will fit in the same socket as the incandescents. Will I get decent results with this?
