life span

Not really a betta expert, I have two and they have been living for about 3 years... anyone know about the usual lifespan for one?

3-4 years is the average I hear most often too.

id say 2, maybe 3 if youre lucky. 4 is an awful long time...

I know of some who have had Bettas live as long as 5 and in one case even 6 years, but I think the 3-4 years is more normal/average.

Keep in mine they are generally around one year of age when they go to the petshop.
