Lid question...

Will using a lid on my tank raise my water temp greatly?

nah, most likely not, just make the surface more humid. i would sugguest a lid with holes or something to let air through

Its got 2 corners cut off the end to let the cords run through do you think that would be enough? Im jus worried because my temp is sitting perfectly at 26 degrees Celcius and i dont want it any higher lol

lol could you put any more holes (maybe in the middle or something) for air ventilation? i know i covered my 10G tank in a towl completely and wtihin minutes it was all foggy and stuff inside, i suspect that it mgiht bring up your temperature (though not by a lot)

never hurts to have some kind of air ventilation i think (unless ur dealing with a speical case).

I could make the corners that i cut off bigger because i made the lid from perspex cos im running low on money and couldnt afford a proper lid... What do you think ?

hmmm, i dont' know what perspex is, but i know lids DO cost a crapload of money. You could always try and cut the holes a litlte bigger, and then see if it raises hte temp, if it does (though i really dotn' think it will by that much), then your outa luck lol
