Does anyone know if you have to be a licenced breeder to breed rabbits?

Not that I'm aware of... what kind of rabbits and what for?

In the U.S., I don't believe you do. I have no idea about other countries.

No licence required in the UK unless you intend breeding them as food.

However if you sell them directly to the public and turnover a certain amount of units per year, you would need a petshop licence.

Well when I was first thinking of getting a rabbit I bought this book, but it was from America so when I was looking through it at all the different breeds I chose a breed called The Dwarf Hotot but it hasnt come to the UK yet.Its thriving in the rest of Europethough, so I thought about importing one or two across.....Bit of a crasy idea, i know but i can't see anything wrong with it???What do you think? I doubt it will get off the ground though, Im allways thinking of things like this and never do anything about them.
