USA,
I have two long finned barbs in my 55g. They do great with the angels and I plan on getting at least 4 more. But I dont know if I want them because the lfs sells the long fins at a higher price then the regular finned ones. I just dont want them to nip my angelfish. Will the regular finned ones?

i think you're gonna have probs...i recently returned my lone rosy barb (about 2-3") because he was nipping my newly acquired angelfish...not very badly but enough that i noticed it and watched for a while and noticed he nipped the dorsals during feeding in his mad rush to eat everything...i wouldn't recommend keeping rosy barbs (LF or non) with angelfish because nipping will eventually occur...i think if i had a group of rosy barbs it would be even worse than the single one....try some rainbowfish - i've found that they are extremly mild-tempered although active at the same time

Rosey barbs by nature can be a bit nippy having a large
group would disperse this nippyness amoungst the group.
IMHO there is no difference between lf and std rosey barbs
in regards to the nipping.
go for the std ones wrs  you won't be dissapointed.
