they hatched overnight after like 3 days at least. they cling to the side of the glass now and some try and swim a little bit. can someone tell me when i can start feeding them? i only have flake, can i crush that up fine or do i have to buy some liquid fry food? thanks

if you have a mortar and pestle put it in that. or just use your fingers and crumble it up into tiny peices about the size of this dot. you can buy liquifry but really small flake will be ok till you get some

when do i start feeding them? when they dont cling to the glass anymore?

the fry are doing well. i only have crushed flake for them and they seem to like it. they started eating it as soon as they where free swimming, some where still on the glass even.

any idea how often to feed them?

Little and often. Fry can easily be fed up to 3-4times a day if the amount of food is right.

i used to feed my WCM fry crushed spirulina they loved they would have that twice a day and then either crushed brineshrimp eggs or bloodworm one more meal and crushed flake as the fourth meal
i now feed the same to my livebearer fry and they love it to
you should be able to get it from a smaller LFS - family run etc or you can always get some off ebay as i did when my LFS shut down

Good luck with the little buggers and post a pic when you can

Thanks Sarah xx

well i can tell you in just over 6 weeks after hatching there is 1 danio fry that is at least 50% bigger than the rest, i put him into the community tank today with the adults and platies etc, and he is doing fine :) he is too quick to get eaten and once they realize its a fish they leave him alone. trick is to chuck in heaps of food before you put him in, that way the adults will be bloated and by the time they hungry again they will have accepted the fry :)
