Led Vs T8 Lighting..

I was just wondering if led lighting would be just as good as t8 tubes..I have made my own hood for my 20 gal tank and have a single t8 tube in it...would led strip lighting be any good for plant growth...

I'm actually in the proccess of buiding my own diy led lighting fixture . I've been doing alot of research on this topic and they say led lighting is just as good as t5/t8 lighting, some even say its better.

I also keep marine fish, actually I was the first person to import the maxspect led lights.....it is better than t5 mates....just google maxspect on ultimate reef and you will see my thread on them.
