im thinking of creating an LED light unit for my tank to grow java moss,
but i dont know if they will have a decent K rating..
maybe someone will know,

well im going for a white led,
and usually they dont tell you the wattage of the LED's so you have to know the voltage and the Amps to figure out the wattage,
do you think a blue moon light would be just as good as white light

no, blue wont stimulate plant growth

If they don't tell you the Wattage then don't buy them :)

There are loads out there but you only want high powered ones 1W, 3W, 5W. then you will find out how much V each want to run, decide how to power them, use a driver and rig it up :)

Go for the whites. Most likely 5500K. Warm white will be closer to yellow so make sure it is white, not warm white.
