Hi, I have a problem in that my tank is very dark when the lighting is off. I have a black painted background and black gravel, the result being that I cant see in the tank with the lighting off.

I was wondering if using LED lighting strips would be the answer as I dont want to leave my main lights on for any longer than they are already.
They are avilable in moonlight effect or white, and I would have them on a timer to operate for the hours when my normal lights are off.

What do you think, good or bad idea?

Iv got Led lighting strips in my tanks. When my main lights go off and I still want to see my fish I just pug in the Led's.

Iv got blue in one tank white in the other am happy there's just the right amount of light in a dark room the see the fishy.
