Led Light Strip

I was thinking of getting a new tank, as the light unit has broken on mine.

But I was wondering how good the LED light strips are, as I want it to be nice rather than look cheap

Here are my questions
Are they bright enough to be the main light source for tank,
Most of the LEDs seem blue, can you get standard warmer white?

I have seen white looking LEDs so color is not a real problem. The light strips that use them can be quite bright but why not judge it yourself. I would guess that a serious fish shop would be willing to plug in a traditional fixture next to an LED fixture if they thought it would lead to the sale of the LED fixture. After all, you will pay many times as much for the LED fixture.
I do not own any LED fixtures yet so I really cannot help by judging things for you.
