Leave male in may just work!!

My first betta spawn.....so i decide to leave the father in w/ his babies....I counted about 15 lil babies that are 6 days old

this was a lil spawn to begin w/....

if the father decides to start eating his babies than ill seperate the male.

Their may be more than 15, they may be hiding sama:
i just hope that this turns out on a bright side.....and not the 6ft under

gl, im not sure how the male will act around the fry but if he startes to take an unhealthy interst in em u might wanna have him removed.

nope....he just bought a digital camera which he was going to use to take pictures, but come to find out, the camera he got is a piece of crap that can't take good photo's....which sux real bad, cuz we were takin pictures of them when they were in the middle of doin it.

i sure hope so...but we need a dang good cam first! it's soo awsome to watch....i was so freakin eager to share the pics with everyone!!! but nooo....stupid $10 cam ain't worth 2 cent!!!!

I bought one of those 10 dollar cameras at compusa. what a rip off. I wentr ahead and bought one off the internet for around 70 bucks , new it was like 150 , but this one is reconditioned. A good camera. Look around for deals on them and you can find one.

i was lookin at one like freshmike has....freshmike takes some of the best photo's around, so i was lookin on ebay for it. i just may think about that one...it's kodak

update-the babies are still doin ok! woohoo! dad attempts to go their way, but they quickly run away when they see him..."nah nah! try n catch me daddy!" lol. hopefully things keep goin well

im thinking about maybe doin this but im not sure. im breeding the most gentle ever HM geno male and he doesnt even touch the female he just blows away. i dunno but gl.

ugh...i think he decided all of a sudden to eat them so we checked the entire tank, found 1 dead fry and 2 live....the dad has been removed since yesterday, and has been in his own area. we put the last 2 fry in his area, dumped the old water, and we plan to start over some time....this time we are going to stick to the rules. maybe we'll try the leave dad in thing again later, when we get more expirience.

the first part of trial and error has begun....now to start again, and hopefully learn from the mistake.

Had you been feeding the father, or was he fasting? Maybe he just got really really hungry? o_o

Did you rescue the fry that were still alive, or did they die?

I'm sorry it didn't work.. a shame.

the 2 that were left died also....we were feeding the dad here and there...maybe it wasn't enough....who knows. we'll probably try again after we get some stuff set up...maybe a week or 2....
