Obviously schoaling, small fish are out, lol, so maybe a spiny eel? Like a Peacock spiny eel? You may need to upgrade for his size in the future, but they grow smaller than the other eels of the same family. (Tire track and Fire eels grow huge)

Other than that, i would stick with medium to large bottum dwelling species. Perhaps clown loaches?

Good to see ya round CFC.

I didnt think Leaf fish were 'delicte' as that profile read?

Leaf fish are very delicate and are not recomended for the novice fishkeeper, when i first tried them i lost 4 of 6 within a couple of months.

Leaf fish are very delicate, and I think banjo cats would make the best tankmates for one :)

Do you have a large supply of guppies (or other live foods) for the leaf fish? That's all they eat :)

ive had experience keeping a 30 gallon w/ a pair of them and a forest of amazon swords for them to feel at home, but thats all that inhabitated the tank. when i upgrade to the 50 they are going to be the first residents. but as far as pairing them up w/ any other species im a noob, i'd hate to wake up to a empty tank save for 7 coyishly smiling leaf fish.

thanks for the help.
