Lda25 Pitbull Plec

I would really like 1 (poss 2) of these but having read a few of the threads on here it seems like they are quite hard to come by. As we don't currently have a car we are a little limited as to how many LFSs we can scour (though there is always the phone).

If we can't find any in the vicinity and no LFS can get hold of them then what are our options? I don't really like the idea of posting them but if it's the only way then we might have to.

My LFS often have them, not much help to you but just saying.

Not being funny... but are you sure they are pitbull plecs and not Bulldog plecs.?

Bulldogs are common. Pitbulls are not

Weve got 6 - we had 5 of them and one on its own after it managed to ilude capture. the group of 5 were always more active and looked happier. I'd advise on getting a lager number when you find them - they are a v.small plec after all

as for price - we had 8 to start with (we bought the shops stock of them - and lost 2 within a week)
I cant remember the actual price as it was quite a while ago - but they were not loads (6.50 each rings a bell)

i have what my lfs call pitbull plecs and they are nice fish i have bred them on occasions but i sold them to the same lfs. if they do breed again and you still want some i will give you some.
if you live near wiltshire there is a shop called pet care in chippenham where they get them in often.
mine cost £3.50 each

i had a look at your tank it looks nice. have u every thought of a background as this can give great contrasts and shows off the colours of your fish and plants

Unfortunately it's only a 20G tank and I'm hoping to add a school of Corys too, we could possibly get away with 3, 4 at a push but we would be overstocked (though we are also over filtered so maybe it would be ok).

Current tank stocking is going to be,
6x Dwarf Rasboras (or other small schooling fish)
5x small corys (max 2")
1x Gourami - Dwarf, honey or maybe sparkling if the LFS has them (this is subject to change as the LFS appears only to sell pairs )

i had a look at your tank it looks nice. have u every thought of a background as this can give great contrasts and shows off the colours of your fish and plants

I'm trying to persuade the bf that a background would be a good idea. So far it's not working particularly well

Took me ages to find some

They are full grown at 2" - we have our 6 in with the 6 zebras in a 120L tank.

I was hoping they would breed but I've not seen any signs yet.
(but knowing my luck so far with managing to get 1 sex groups - they are probubly all the same sex)
