I'm gonna get some tomorrow. StandbySetting helped me decide this was best for my tank and was very helpful. I just wanted to ask a few more questions as I like to know fully what I'm getting and how best to care for it before getting it.

How many do I need to have? I'd rather not get too many because I don't want to overstock. I was thinking 2 or 3. Would that be ok?

Also is a PH of 7.4 ok for them? I have a 60 litre with community fish and no bottom dwellers. I wanted them mainly to help with algae. I seem to get a lot of green algae on my glass because I like the light on a lot. I have algae wafers too to feed them which I got for my nerite snail.

Are they ok with snails? I have a zebra nerite and an apple snail in there.

I love seeing fish that attach themselves to the glass and you see their little mouths sucking up the algae on the glass. Do they do that? Silly question as I think all plecs do but just wanted to make sure.

2 or 4 would be fine they are not schooling fish they just to be around there own kind. They will not be stressed if not kept in a school.

Your PH is fine fish adjust. I like to check the PH of the water the fish come home in and if its the same I don't worry too much about acclimating them. I find less handling and just getting them in the tank is less stressful. If wild caught they might take time to get use to Wafers but try green Veggies sucker cats tend to love them no matter what.

They are not snail eaters and your snail is too big to eat no problems there. Just Nerite snails poop a lot that the only danger.

Yes they are sucker mouth Catfish that is what they do. My BN plecos, Clown pleco, and otos do that. If there is food no the glass they will suck it.

Well ,that`s what the woman at pets at home said ,when i queried the two different colours ,the said albino had a whitish tinge to it`s skin.
Are you just sticking with the one?

I wanted two but at £9 each I just got one for now and will get another in a few weeks

Hi there, do you have a pets at home near you? providing they have them in you could get 2 for £9 from there which would leave you with a nice group of 3. :)

Yeah we do just up the road but I was wary buying fish from them. I'll have a look and see if they have them in stock and they look ok and then decide.
