The past month or so during the day my betta in the 35g tank will let himself be sucked in by the filter! The first time I saw it I thought he was dead, I was really upset too! But then I opened the tank to get him, and he came right off the filter swam over to me like "Ok, Time to eat?"

This is the best picture I could get as the filter is in the back of the tank, and as soon as I enter the room he moves.

*Edit: I don't post about this guy much as its very hard to get good pictures of him, but I've had him for about 2 1/2 years now.

I can't believe he is THIS lazy!!

2 1/2 years is a very old betta isnt it???

bearing in mind if you bought him from the LFS he was prob already 6 months old!!!ATLEAST

Yep - you must be doing something right if you've had him that long! :)
Just make sure his fins don't get sucked in and shredded up - but I've heard stories of lots of lazybutt betta boys sticking themselves to the filter so they don't have to waste any of their energy to rest. lol

Luckily he sticks himself to the middle section where the two pipes connect... If he was sticking himself to the end of the filter, I'd feel bad, but have to remove him. Silly Fishy! :S
