Lawnmower Blenny

i know they eat algae and have lots of personality , but i wanted to know if there a good community fish. any experiances with these fish, plan to add to a 170 gallon tank with mates


2 yellow tangs
1 maroon clown
1 six line wrasse
1 golden sleeper gobie
1 yellow watchman
1 cardinal bangaii
1 blue hippo tang
2 blue green chromis
1 fire gobie
3 cleaner shrimp
2 peppermint shrimp

and coral mates ( hear they can sometimes nip at corals) is this true?


2 toad stools
1 colt
green star polyp
yellow polyps
1 leather finger
2 cabbage
lots of shrooms

lawnmowr blenneys are fine with corals i have 3 in diffrent tanks and they are toataly fine with my corals they are fun to watch mine follows my hand about the tank and any one who walks past it follows them to but when it comes to feeding time it comes up takes the full cube and gose into his rock

SOMETIMES, they can get nippy towards Clams or a few types of SPS, but this is rare. Usually good tankmates

depends on the clam haha. mines quit gigantic and came with a similarly high price tag lol. my blenny knows not to go near it after day one. he jumped on it and was shot out of the tank ahha. was quit an amusing attempt. second time he was nearly trapped inside it. needless to say he's a smart blenny and keeps away. id be shocked if he did manage to do damage to a 250$ clam(stimulating the economy from my share of govmnt handouts /cough) hehe.
