He is a talapi maria, not only do rainbows only reach 3/4's of his size but they have alot more black than him, If that's what your LFS is selling as a rainbow i'd report them or they'll have no tank mates in the morning.

The geo is about 6 - 7 inches.

It's not my LFS I was going by. He's just alot more orange than I'd expect a talapi maria to be, and seeing as I'd seen a heck of alot more rainbows and it's a very similar shape and pattern I figured it was probably a rainbow. But now you mention it I looked straight past the red eye lol. Eitherways it's a very nice looking fish Good luck with the sale.
