Hi guys

I looking to upgarde my tank shortly - I am looking at around 5ft x 2ft x 2ft (between 500-600 litres). I have seen a lot of custom tanks this kind of size, or made to order, but does anyone know of a decent large tank that is in production? I dont mind ordering online. I was thinking of going for a sump, but im not set on one and could go with an external filter.

Please let me know any you have/have seen.

Cheers

Thanks minnnt - it says they come with integrated filtration - do you know if this is any good?

I've got a rio 400 and they are nice big tanks I managed to pick mine up for £150 come with stand lights and background pic. I've not got the standard filter I've opted for 2 externals plus a 2500lph internal.

Which in theory according to what the filters say they turn over would be 3900lph but I doubt they are turning over that amount but still nice and clean

Aqua One Aquience tanks are nice! :) Had the 1500R with two externals as a marine tank and it was great, has 4 x T5s as standard :)

1500R (R= rectangular) is 405L and 5ft/150cm x 50cm x 66cm (just under 2 foot wide and just over 2ft deep)
1800R is 600L and is 6ft/180cm x 60cm x 66cm (1 ft longer and 10cm wider gives you 200 extra liters).

Or you can look around for a systemised Seashell Tank or get a custom one from your local MA, might actually work out cheaper... i dont know.

Here are some images of 5ft Seashell Tanks, they can be customised (colour of weirs, silicone, wood type etc) the stripey type wood is Tiepole and I can sea Beech and Oak too. The solif Oak tanks will be lot more expensive, about £1200 systemised.

Yeah, Aquience, thats it. The missus' uncle has the 1800R 6ftr. After helping them move house recently, i can confidently say that 2 people can move these tanks on their own. :good: It's a shame he doesn't make better use of it really.

The Juwel internal filters often get a bad rep, but i have always found them ok. The downside is, as with any internal, the space they take up and the amount they need to be cleaned. When you compare the amount of media they hold to that in an external then there is no comparison really.

If you can pick one up for as cheaply as basboi did, then what is not to like?! Juwel tanks are ace.
