OK, a quick review thread for laptop or desktop computers to give any people considering a new computer a healping hand choosing an "off the shelf" job. You can review custom PC'c if you whish, but it won't help buyers too much. If you do that, please clearly state that it is a custom job :good:

A good solid Laptop PC that is highly reliable and user friendly. A nice clean quick-launch pannel. Basicaly everything I needed in a computer untill I started programming with an interpreted language (Python 2.5)

The speakers aren't great, but hey, what laptop speakers are?

Additional comments

I'm realy going to miss this PC once sold on (A bid of £100 has been made for it by a work collegue. PM me if interested and able to collect)

A solid Desktop PC that is highly reliable. This has multiple connections for prehipials in clever places. It's internal hardware is very easy to work with simple "clip to fit" component cradles all round.

Con's

Rather slow to boot, and has less "junk" on it in comparison to my Tosh laptop

Additional comments

None I can think of

Superbly easy to use laptop after replacing Vista with XP Pro. Internal wireless excellent. LCD screen crystal clear.

Con's

Sound quality crap. Supplied OS (VISTA) even crapper. Battery life less than 2 hours.

Additional comments

Fast and adjile. Took me about 1/2 an hour to install all my programs onto it (ok, not the best performance benchmark) where it took the rest of the computers in the house arround 2 hours. Chasis is solid as a rock and the finish is nice. I like the shrap clean lines also. Nice little media toolbar like on the Equium before, but this once actually works with iTunes also :hyper: Very quiet and cool running, even when pushing performance (though pushing performance ATM is a bit difficult)

Con's

The speakers aren't great, but hey, what laptop speakers are? Haven't sussed the biometric fingerprint reader yet. The drive is a bit brutal about returning/loading your cd, so watch your fingers!!

Additional comments

A worthy replacement IMO at this stage. Time will tell if I find any bugs or little niggles though...
