I know we've got language filters on this forum to filter out bad (and some not very bad :p ) words, which I approve of seeing as it's a family friendly forum. Today however, I noticed a member of this forum has a word that is definatly filtered out by the filter in his/her custom title that you can set after so many posts. Would it be possible to apply a language filter to this as well to prevent more people abusing this option?

Unfortunately this is not a feature of the forum software. Hopefully these incidences are low (this is the first I have come across). In these situations it is best to report the user to a mod or me who will be able to change their user title and issue a warning.

Thanks for the quick responds William, shame there isn't a language filter that would save you and the mods a lot of work.
In this case I don't believe the person did it so much on purpose, but the word is there none the less =)

Well done, I admit it has surprised me before when it sanitized the place name S####horpe, it took me ages to work out why.

that can be fixed by changing the word that is filtered to exact rather than having it set on loose
of course that means William would have to do it.
