Hi All,

I am about to re-do the pond that came with the house i moved into and will need a pump and filter. My LFS suggested the LAGUNA CLEAR FLO KIT 5000 PRESSURE FILTER AND PUMP.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this or a better model to go for?

The pond will be no more than 4000 litres and i will only want the pump to pump and filter. We are having a seperate stone monolith water feature running off its own pump, so there will be no need for the Laguna to run a water feature.

There will be about 17 goldfish and shubunkins of various sizes and NO koi.

I'd be grateful to know if you think the Laguna is a good system for this pond or if you think anything else would be better in the same price range.

We want to buy everything this weekend so i'd be grateful for any thoughts ASAP.

Thanks in advance
Ant

I use the 1200 filter and pump, there a good filter and pump my pond is 1200 gallon with goldfish and ghost koi

I was sent on a laguna training day a few weeks ago, At the end of the day there was no doubt in my mind that they were one of the top brands available,
The backwash system makes it real easy to clean out the filter without even needing to open the filter box, and it comes with a UV steriliser as opposed to a standard clarifier that you get on most other products.

They are also cheaper to run

Hi all,

Thank you for your responses. They have eased my mind and i am now off to go and purchase a Laguna clearflo system.

Cheers
Ant

The back wash system doesnt do a very good job i found, found it better to remove the sponges but it's still a good filter
