i just got two new pups and they are a black and a white labradors.
i was wondering if anyone knows how to train these guys. from the research that i have done if seems that they are a special breed which needs a special training not like other dogs. if im wrong please correct me.
BTW their awesome pups i named them yin and yang :D .

thanks in advance

No dogs needs special training if you don't want them to. I've heard that labs are pretty obedient dogs and not that hard to train. You can try to train them by yourself with some training treats and a clicker which they sell at any Petsmart or Petco. You can also go to a training program to help with training. It'll be much easier training them when they are puppies also. Hope this helps.

With dogs that get large basic obedience training as always a good idea. You never know when doggie will decide to chase squrrill or another dog. You need your dog to be able to understand at least basic commands if you are not able to outmuscle the dog. Basic obedience is also a great way to get them meeting other dogs so that they will not become dog agressive. Just because they get along with other dogs in the house doesnt mean they wont attack strange dogs if they have never been exposed to it.

Make sure you take them to obdience classes and get them well socialised with other dogs so they won't be nervous later in life. Make sure you get them used to other people and children and train them seperately so they don't get distracted with each other.

You should also get them use to other types of animals. Maybe cats and other types because my friend has a yellow lab and everytime she sees a cat she'll go crazy. She's also tortured 2 cats for a while and we had to chase after her and restrain her because she wouldn't let it go. It's really sad to see a bloody cat up a tree that can't get down because it went to high up and then have to get it down. -_-
