how big do they grow and would they be ok in a 55l community tank because 1 place i read said they grow to 5" and another said 3"

According to Planetcatfish, they can reach to just under 4".
What else is in your community tank?

livebearers but imgetting to many fry so im thinking of getting red of them and restocking it
