Hi

The other day I had a rooty toot to my loc LFS andvthey had some L200 green plecs for sale @ £40. Is this decent money for them? Will they get on with Brian the Bristlenose and will they fit a 180l tank (Bioload is minimal at the moment!)

Cheers

They are beautiful plecs and I would have though theprice is average for them now. They are getting harder to find and if my LFS had one I would buy it

Although theyt get a decent size without being sure of your tank dimensions I'd give it a go ensuring your water conditions are very good. I;d make sure the plec has a full belly before you buy it

You may have territorial disputes between the plecs but I doubt anything too detrimental to the fish

I think I may buy a second tank just for plecs. Thanks for the advice.

Just noticed the topic on L260s! Nice!

I doubt thats possible. Many species are territorial and it would be better if you have lots of tanks and put a few plecos in it (around 2-4 plecos each tank) rather than cramming them into one tank. Not to mention it would be a very boring tank, as pretty as they are, they are very boring to watch :/

they;re great fish I have just aquired two more

when I get plenty of tanks I will do the same as a lot of plec keeprs and set some plec display tanks up for big Pseudas and Panaques and have either tetras or Geophagus as the active fish

Thanks for the advice.

My bristlenose is quite active plus I'd have a couple of tetras too provide a bit extra movemen. Just bidding on a 90 L on eBay at the moment
