L18-golden Nugget

Has anyone any experience on how big they actually get in an aquarium? My LFS assured me it would only get to 4-5 inch, and I bought it, now it seems that it could get to about 14 inches! It looks like I may have one to give a way in a few months!

I'm not too happy to be honest. I specifically asked for advice on the small ones. The shop claims to specialize in L-numbers and I did ask more than once. There are so many of these L-numbers it's difficult to remember which one is which by the time you get to the shop-anyway it's a lesson learnt. If it gets too big I may find a taker for it-it will take a while yet I would guess-it's no more than 1 1/2 inches at the moment. A foot long fish in a planted 3 foot aquarium just wont go!

I might be wrong, but there are (I believe) a few that "look" like Golden Nugget (and easily mistaken) and they all reach different sizes. Can't remember the thead
If you do a quick google and flip through some sites, it seems it's a debatable topic and some say the "Golden Nugget" on reaches a max of 6" and that they are very slow growing.
