Went in to my LFS to get a couple of loaches, came out with a Leopard Frog Pleco L134 :D
I've always seen them in pictures, but have never seen any, i fell in love when i saw them and just had to get 1, has anyone kept these before?
I was wondering what foods are their favourites.

They are a very nice looking fish. Although I have never kept a leopard frog pleco L134 before I did find this article in the forum. Hopefully it can help you out a little bit.

I know how to look after plecos, i've got a few more in with him, but was just wondering if anyone who had kept them found out what their favourites were.
I already put in algae wafers and cucumber, and they pick up some bloodworm and brineshrimp.

I currently have a tank with 11 wild caught Pekoltia compta (aka L134). While they are omnivorous, they prefer meat and their diet should be slanted towards this. They are not algae eaters. I feed a pretty wide variety of foods to mine which includes:

Frozen- blood worms, Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp (both normal and ones gut loaded with spirulina) and tubifex worms.
Earthworm sticks and flakes, Tetra Color Tropical Granules, Veggie sticks and flakes (occasionally), kens Color bits
kens Spirulina Flake with garlic (feed to 100% of my fish every Saturday).
My staple flake which is a mix of Nutrafin ColorMax, kens veggie flake and kens earthworm flake.

I don't do much in the way of live foods, but they would love live black worms or smaller red worms.

My first experience with these lovely fish was in the form of a wild pair I purchased from a pleco fanatic in 2003. I had to let them go in Mar 06 to make room for other fish. I have never seen another 134 that had such amazing colors at that size since. I took a picture of the before they were shipped but it does not do them justice.
