Would I be able to put two L102s in a 45 gallon tank?

Tank mates are:

14 - Female betta
1 - Nerite Snail

The tank base is 32” by about 17”, not entirely sure of the height but it’s about 18” or so.

Or alternatively, is there another type of small pleco I could put in as well (Instead of a second L102)?

As long as your filtration is up to scratch and plenty of places to hide you could quite easily get 3-4 in that size tank, just be careful the betta's dont start nipping.

P.S... if you do decide to add more, i would advise you add at separate times to avoid overloading the filters (you probably already know this but doesn't harm mentioning :good:)

I wouldn't add them all at once, but thanks for mentioning it anyway.

My bettas are all pretty chilled out, they barely ever nip each other. They don't like smaller things but they don't mind bigger ones, my l102 at the minute is about an inch long and they don't mind, anything much smaller they don't like (strange).

I might have a trip and see if there are any more in stock, thank you :)

I didn't realise they were so small i imagined adults for some reason lol, if you have a filter that could cope with the bioload of 3-4 then at that size i wouldn't have a problem adding all 4 together and just keeping a check on parameters.

hope you find some more anyways and get some pics up when you can, lovely little plecs :)

I only have a photo of him in the bag before he got added to the tank :(.

I didn't say in the first post that it was only a baby one so I think you can be let off with assuming they were adults. The shop I got 'Spot' from had tiny ones (1") or larger ones about 2", so I'll see if they get any smaller ones in again :) (about half the price).

thank you :) The shop isn't very local so I'll have to phone up and try and reserve one :).

Spot is coming out a bit more now which is good. I just like to check he's got a fully belly and looks ok :)
