L075 Para Pleco

Hey all,
Was at my lfs when i saw a gorgeous pleco. It was about 6 inches long. The manager wasnt sure what kind it was and neither was I as neither of us have seen any like this. After looking through many books and nothing i searched planet catfish and found what i believe i have. L075 a.k.a. "para pleco. Just wanted to see if anyone has ever owned one as i didnt see one on the fish species index. He is gorgeuos and I look forward to watching him grow large. I will post a pic tonight when i get a usb cable for my digital camera.

cool, and i forgot to mention why it was a good deal, the guy sold it to me for 10 bucks!!! I would have paid that for pretty much any 6 inch pleco if it was in good health.

Sounds like a bargin alright... the prices over here have rocketed lately... there is a 3" para at a local shop for £45!...

Yours sounds like its done growing - 6" is about what they max out at

I can see the head of yours and thats def. what i got! wow, i really did get a great bargain. I thought i read somewhere they got 12 inches but i will def take your word What are you feeding yours on? Mine is probably just settling so doesnt seem to be munching on anything. I tried cucumbers, algae wafers, and bloodworms. Didnt touch the cucumber nor the algae wafers and i didnt see him eat any bloodworms....Sorry to hear they are so expensive where you are....thanks to all.
