I can tell you right now females are as rare as rocking horse sh*t. If you can get your hands on one consider yourself a lucky man.
How young a fish are you willing to take?

Wildwoods I think still has some adults in...although are only being sold in lots of 3 and above I think.

To be honest, prices vary wildly depending on the size of the fish, and the seller. Some sellers sell for what I think is a decent price while others sell then at overly high prices becuase their greedy *******!

Thanks just spoke the the guy and he would prefer females to fry, what sort of money whould he expect so i can pass it on.

For a confirmed female anything up to 300 quid.

But you might also want to tell him that I know of someone who's stated many times on certain forums that's he willing to pay up to 300 quid for one and he's still waiting 6-9 months on.

Really, very very few people sell single adult females. To the point that I really wouldn't bother going down that road, I'd buy young and wait a while instead.

Thanks DS,

I've already told him that and i think he though 300 for a female was cheep, but then i dont have that sort of money to though at one fish.
i would buy small like u say but u can tell some people!!!

theres a few zebs around for sale at the min young fry tho,i think its prob the better way forward,i have 6 young fry all diffrent ages i hope to have a gd mix!looking to add another 2fry soon tho

I'd have personally gone for fry too - purely because you'd get more for your money, and then be able to sell on those you didn't need afterwards and make some of that money back ;)
