Hey guys,
Do any of you know the max size of an L-199 (Pseudo) Pleco? Along with the average cost or costs you have seen?
Also anyone know the average price of a Gold Nugget Pleco?
I know prices are different everywhere just trying to get the feel for pricing
Thanks,
AJS

Hey mate,
Not sure about the L199, but I've seen 3 GN's in my area all around the £30 mark. All a decent size... Lovely fish!! :)

Thanks I got a Gold Nugget for 32.99 here in the US. From what I can tell they are on average 50-100 depending on where you look. I'm going to look more into sexing and possibly buying more to give breeding a shot. The Pseudo L-199 is a type of Zebra pleco not Imperial unfortunately but just as pretty in my eyes. I haven't managed to find any aside from yesterday at a LFS about an hour away and as a pleco lover I snatched one up for 29.99 even though they were tiny. They also had some very pretty Green Phantoms and white spot plec's. Might have to set up a pleco tank

L199 isn't a pseudo it's a hypancistrus species, normally max out around 5-6 inches, they are on average £20-£25 for adult fish, juvi's can be picked up from £7.50-£12.50 if you look around.

Golden nuggets vary considerably in price from area to area, in the UK round here they are as little a £18 (have seen cheaper), but i would say the average price is around £25 ish.

H. furunculus are quite common these days given the lack of hypan imports from Brazil. They get to about 4"ish, and large specimens qill probably have you going 30-40 USD.
