I was very naughty today and brought 2 Kulis

Can they be sexed, what foods do they exactly need?

I've got a new 60ltr tank but for now, they are in my 30 ltr, until the new tank is sorted.

They will eat flake, pellet and granules. If you can, try and up the number to at least 6 as they are better in a group. If you only keep 2, they may hide away a lot as they can be quite shy.

Will do x

Gonna wait till the 60ltr is cycled and then get some more. They are fab, aren't they!

bought six of them one time for my 5x2x2 i dint see them for two years
i cleaned the tank out to change the sand and they
all turned up a lot bigger than what they were when they
went in i love this little loach cracking fish

I bought 8 the other day and you can't ever not see them! they're always about either swimming around, burrowing or siting under bogwood in the dark...

here they are getting on with my bolivians

They are keeping the substrate very clean, lots of little holes everywhere where they've been digging.

Really happy I got them but I've noticed from other peoples experiences that 8+ is the best to see them a lot.

I have Khulis aswell :hyper: great little loaches, I'm new to them too only had mine for around 2 weeks, bought 6 got 7 but now can only see 6 in the tank  hope it's just hiding as there are plenty of hiding places and sand about, one is bigger than the others and rather than being banded it's a gold colour all over likes to lay behind my heater on the sucker bit, they really are khul  always putting their noses into things, mine share their tank with 1 female swordtail a sorority of female bettas and 2 killifish, they all get on fine the kuhlis hang around the bottom but occasionally can be seen dashing around at the front of the tank, they eat virtually anything from flake to bloodworm :good:

how did you get them to come up for flake?

Hi, they never rise to eat the flake they wait for it to sink to the bottom before they get it, think you may have misunderstood my post :look: they do occasionally dart up and down the sides of the tank though :good:

i used to put flake in just before lights
out and put the blue moon on and sit with
the room lights out to watch them come out to
feed

I've seen my 2 pop out this morning, then slide back under the pebbles. I've hidden some algae wafer under the pebbles, so hopefully they will munch on that.

Still a little worried that I haven't seen my cherry shrimp in 2 days

Do these loaches dig and hide under the sand?

Added another 4 Khulis, which brings me to6 in total, they seem more social with the group increasing
