Right I thought it was ok for the first few days but it has been going for over a week now.

First of all my water stats are
Ammonia = 0
Nitrite = 0.3
Nitrate = 15-25

Everything was ok last week bar I noticed that the heater almost dead. It was on 22c and yet heated the water to 84f. and a few platys had died from unknown reasons. but nothing has transferred to any other fish.

So I made a trip to the LFS and got a new heater and since I read Khulli's needs a few friends I got two more. The tank was overstocked by about 2" but since a few died I thought it would be ok to get them as it is over over filtered.

before adding the new ones he was ok just rooting round the bottom of the plants and swimming in the current from a powerhead. However now he just goes round and round in circle up against one end of the tank, He stops now and again for food but that is it. The others are happy rooting around the gravel.

Not sure if this is just another psychotic fish I have or if there is anything wrong.

Mine do this all the time, the black ones do it more than the stripy ones but they are younger and about half the size. Some people said it might be to do with changes in the weather like weather loaches do. The weather is usually damp and crappy hear anyway and they just seem to do it randomly, sometimes 3 or 4 will go in a circle for hours. I have seen them do it in the morning, been out all day and they are still doing it in the same place when i get back.

It's normal. Some swim around the tank a lot and others just chill out :)
