Whill kuhli loaches be alright in a 12 gallon tank?
How many gallons do they need if not?
Do they need lots of hidding places?
How much do the cost?

You could go for a 15 gallon, although 6 kuhlis would do fine in a 12 gallon as long as they're the only fish in there. Kuhlis need a lot of hiding places, nooks and crannies, and hidey holes and caves. Ironically, the more hiding places a kuhli loach has, the more often you will see it out in the open. It makes them feel secure.

I always recommend kuhli loaches They're loads of fun!

If I still had my fresh tank up, I would have kuhli loaches... They only cost a couple bucks around here...

Personally I wouldn't have kuhlis in anything less than a 30gal long tank. Mine were the most active things ever and could cover the tank floor in a matter of seconds. They had 'mad' sessions most days. I feel like putting them in less than a 30gal long tank will curb their natural behaviour...
