Hi,

I have two kribs (I think they are a male and a female)who live in a 10G tank by themselves. They are about an inch and a half long. It's been about two days now that the male krib's been hiding in the narrow spot behind the filter while the female is swimming about in a normal way. He comes out infrequently for a little while but then squeezes right back into the hiding spot. I wonder what that could mean...should I be concerned?

Has the female coloured up significantly recently, she might be getting frisky with him, I am certainly no expoert but I may have read somewhere on this forum that if the male is not up to the job a picky female can get a bit aggresive with the male....
Do you have any caves in the tank and any plants, think Kribs like a small cave and a heavy planted area.......
Hopefully one of the cichlid folk will be along soon to sort things out for you..... :good: :good: :good:
