I bought two of these fish yesterday and i was thinking what are they like......well i no the basic but are they likly to breed in a 18g tank

If they are defiantely a male and female they will most likely breed. They spawn in caves and can be very aggresive when breeding!

So make sure you have lots of hiding places if you have other fish in the tank..

Im not too sure but i think 18g is a bit small for kribs?

If they were anything like my pair then you may have trouble if they decide to breed. My pair became quite aggressive and took over half the tankand my tank was a 3ft 28 uk g one.Ended up in her killing him, eating the fry and me deciding never to get another pair of kribs unless I had a seperate tank for them
She lives quite happily now on her own with the other fish.On advice received in here a single krib will be quite happy
Just something to think about
cheers

That tank may do the job, only time will tell, but there really isn't room for anything but the kribs in it - they just get too aggressive. I'd also back up the idea of a single krib if you wanted to keep any other fish in there.

I bred a pair in a 2ft.

The fry are 4 weeks old now and doing great, growing like mad. They do have the tanks all to themselfs. well apart from a couple of ground feeders and 4 ADF's.
