Right i have a 10g tank that has almost finished cycling!

and i am going to have a community tank but i want to have a
Pelvicachromis pulcher - Krib
Can i keep just one? or do they have to be kept in pairs? Also would they fight with any of the fish below:
- Clown Loach
- Platys
- Mollys
- silver tipped tetras

Thanks for your help!

You are in the wrong forum thingy buy any ways a pair of kribs and like 1-2 smaller bottom feeders should be ok. Clown loaches get to big.

Hey Doug

Don't worry, you are in the right place, Kribs are African. It might be worth checking out some of the older posts on Rams and Apistogramma (new world fish) as well, as care is very similar to them.

In general it should get along with those fish without a problem, except clown loaches are a poor choice for a 10 gallon tank, they grow almost as long as your aquarium! Also they are schooling fish, and are always happiest in groups. Instead go with a smaller catfish that will not outgrow the tank, there are many available including the ever popular Cory's.

As far as your krib is concerned one will work fine, and might be a better idea then a pair. These fish are not very aggressive, but become more so when breeding. In addition a 10 gallon is a little small for a pair of Kribs if you want to have all those other fish in there as well.
